Charlotte Motor Speedway?s internal road course marks the halfway point to the inRacingNews Challenge championship. With only eight of 12 rounds counting in the standings, and most drivers looking to set their season points totals through those first eight, Week Six was more pivotal than ever for top sim racers like Marius Golombeck in Pontiac Solstice and Gabriel Tobar in Spec Racer Ford. As usual, neither failed to deliver. Golombeck and Tobar continued to pad their championships leads after steamrolling through Charlotte, scoring 197 and 195 points respectively to top their classes. Golombeck took Pontiac Solstice class victories in both of his starts, while Tobar went one for two in SpecRacer Ford; meanwhile, Tobar took poles in both races, while Golombeck took one.
