Latvala retires from day two

Jari-Matti Latvala has been forced to retire from day two of Rally Argentina after a temporary repair to the broken compression strut his Ford sustained on SS13 proved unsuccessful. The Finn had been in control of the event until the problem, which the team suspected was caused by an impact. He made it to the start of SS14, albeit late and out of order, but was ordered by the team to park his car after losing time through the first part of the stage
